Quinceañera choreography · Paquete Dorado

Quinceañera choreography in Charlotte, built by Rodrigo and Wendy

Your entrance, your Vals with the Court and Parents, and a Baile Sorpresa nobody saw coming, all choreographed and edited to your music. The Paquete Dorado covers it from the first step to the final bow.

Chapter 01

What the Paquete Dorado covers

The Paquete Dorado, the Gold Package, is $1,700 and is built so a family does not have to plan the dancing in pieces. It is a ten-class package that carries the whole event program, from the moment the quinceañera enters to the moment the celebration closes, so every dance on the evening is rehearsed and every transition has an owner.

Inside that, there are two centerpieces. The first is the traditional Waltz, the Vals, choreographed with the Court and Parents so the formal tradition reads as polished and unhurried. The second is a custom Baile Sorpresa, the Surprise Dance, which can run across as many as four songs, long enough to change tempo, mood and style while the room waits to see what comes next.

Music is part of the package, not an afterthought. Rodrigo and Wendy include custom editing for your DJ, up to three minutes, so the cut you rehearse to is exactly the cut that plays on the night. Wedding first dances and private event showcases are choreographed the same way, if there is another celebration on your calendar.

Styles they choreograph

The list runs from the formal to the playful: Bachata, Cumbia (Traditional & Tribalera), Hip-Hop, Huapango, Merengue, Reggaeton, Rock & Roll, Salsa, Traditional Jalisco (La Negra, El Jarabe), Traditional Vals, or any custom style. A Surprise Dance does not have to stay in one lane, so a piece can open as a Cumbia and finish as Reggaeton if that is what suits your court.

Folk and regional dances sit comfortably next to modern ones here. Huapango and the Jalisco pieces, La Negra and El Jarabe, give a program its roots, while Hip-Hop and Reggaeton let teenagers dance to the music they actually listen to. Bachata and Salsa are dances Rodrigo and Wendy teach every week at The Dance Loft, so they know how a body learns them.

If your theme calls for something that is not on the list, say so. Any custom style can be requested. Describe the song, the mood and the group, and the choreography is built from that rather than pulled off a shelf. Call (704) 449-8112 or send a message from the contact page and say what you have in mind.

Chapter 03

Why families book RW, and how rehearsals come together

Four things set the package apart: more than fifteen years of experience with large courts and custom stage routines, custom music editing, a full event program that plans every detail from entrance to bow, and a range of dance styles flexible enough to follow your theme. Rodrigo and Wendy hold dance degrees from UNC Charlotte and teach on its faculty, so the planning comes from people who build stage work for a living.

Rehearsing a court is mostly a craft of patience. A group of teenagers learns fastest when the steps arrive in small, repeatable pieces and the formal Vals is kept clean, with the surprise and the party dances layered in around it. Everyone learns the counts out loud first, then the movement, then the music, so by the time the full edit plays nobody is hunting for the downbeat.

Parents have their own moments to learn, and the Vals with the Court and Parents is built so those moments feel natural rather than staged. All skill levels are welcome. If you would like to meet the instructors before you book, the weekly cycles on the classes page show how they teach, and you can call (704) 449-8112 any time to talk it through.

Uno, dos, tres. The Vals counts in threes.
