Latin dance is for everybody
First steps and advanced partnerwork, on the same floor.
Rodrigo and Wendy teach most classes themselves. They break every step down until it lands, then turn the music back up. Students describe a room where beginners are welcomed and the regulars become friends.
The week on the floor
Four nights, two rhythms, one dance card.
Salsa On2 owns Monday and Tuesday. Bachata takes Wednesday and Thursday, and Thursday closes with an Argentine tango drop-in. Every class runs an hour, at 7:30 or 8:30 PM.

Most people walk in for a beginner cycle. Some come back for a quinceañera, a first dance at a wedding, or a night of social dancing with the friends they made in class.

Salsa On2 and bachata, eight weeks at a time
Progressive cycles with a real syllabus: Beginner, Beginners 2, Advanced Beginner and Intermediate salsa On2, plus beginner and Level 2 bachata and the Bachata Choreography Challenge. Start on day one and build from scratch. No partner needed.

Bachelor of Arts in Dance, UNC Charlotte
Both Rodrigo and Wendy hold the degree, and both teach as adjunct faculty in UNC Charlotte's Dance Department.
Teaching artists, Blumenthal and NC Dance Theatre
They teach for the NC Blumenthal Performing Arts Center and the NC Dance Theatre.

Performing and teaching in Spain, Thailand, Vietnam and Chile, and sharing the stage with Willie Colón and Gilberto SantaRosa. Their SALSATANGO and BACHATANGO fusions are their own.

Before your first class

No. The 8-week progressive cycles are built so you can come on your own; no partner is needed for salsa or bachata.
Cycles build week on week, so you start on the first day of the cycle and there are no drop-ins mid-cycle. Drop-in passes are for the Level 1 and Level 2 weekly classes.
Classes run Monday to Thursday evenings at The Dance Loft, mostly at 7:30 and 8:30 PM: salsa On2 on Mondays and Tuesdays, bachata on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and an Argentine tango drop-in on Thursdays. The live calendar on Punchpass is always the current word.
Either works. Bachata's basic step is often quicker to feel comfortable with; salsa On2 rewards patience with a lot of musical range. Rodrigo and Wendy run beginner cycles in both, so you can start where your curiosity is.

Yes. The Paquete Dorado (Gold Package) is $1,700 for ten classes, entrance-to-exit planning, custom music editing, the Vals with Court and Parents, and a Baile Sorpresa. Wedding first dances and private showcases are choreographed too.
